Sectional Rehearsal

After the sectional rehearsal, I am confident in my part for Prairie Songs. I feel that with the amount of time that I dedicated to that song, I am confident that I am able to play it well. I think that I need to work on my part for And the Fire Raged because we didn't dedicate time to it in sectionals, I feel that we need to practice this song more so that I can get more of a feel for timing. In terms of gains in sectionals, I felt that I sort of became one of the leaders in the Percussion section and embraced the role of Section Leader along with Ranganath. I also felt that I was able to hear different percussion instruments that I don't normally hear since we play on opposite ends of the room. I felt this past rehearsal was very productive and I look forward to doing this in the future as the date for Band Festival approaches quickly.
