Michigan Marching Band Inspiration

Last Saturday, I attended my first Michigan football game and saw the Michigan Marching band for the first time. What struck me was not the high-level that they played at but the unity and clear sound that they had as a unified ensemble. I stayed after the game to listen to the band perform pieces. I was so amazed on how great they sounded and how unified they sounded. I was also thinking how we could incorporate unity and clarity into our band. I think we should have sectionals once before the concert cycle to listen to the other parts of the music and adjust our own playing so it fits the band.
