Post Festival Reflection

Last Thursday, at festival, the concert band received a Division II rating. I am fine with this rating. However, I feel that the rating does not represent our band's as well as my potential. I feel that we should continue to practice and grow not only as soloists but as a band total. I do have my work cut out for me for the next concert cycle. I also have to address some pressing issues such as sight reading since I felt I executed the festival sight reading piece poorly. As a percussionist, I should still improve my counting as well as my abilities on the snare drum. Hopefully with these changes we can maximize the potential of the band and myself and receive the Division I rating next year or just have a great spring concert.
